ATR Rule Expected to Limit Subprime Lending

January 25, 2013
The already deflated subprime market will likely stay depressed due to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s new ability-to-repay rule, according to industry analysts. January 25, 2013
Loan originator compensation requirements released this week by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau aim to prohibit steering to subprime mortgages.
