Mortgage Buybacks Surged in Late 2013

Mortgage lenders repurchased $3.05 billion of home loans from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac during the fourth quarter of 2013, a 91.0 percent increase from the previous quarter, according to a new Inside Mortgage Trends analysis of repurchase disclosures.
