Velocity Financial originated a record $739.0 million in business-purpose loans in the third quarter.

The conventional-conforming sector continued to account for the largest portion of originations, with a 52.2% share in the third quarter.

For one-unit properties, the baseline conforming loan limit will be $832,750 in 2026.

“We believe that if Treasury decides it wants to forgive the [senior preferred shares], then this plan appears reasonable,” said Keefe, Bruyette & Woods analyst Bose George.
