The real estate brokerage agreed to pay $2.25 million and change its marketing to settle a lawsuit brought by the Massachusetts attorney general’s office.

The bureau is considering raising the bar for triggering oversight of nonbanks in consumer reporting, consumer debt collection, automobile lending and international money transfers.

Some of the bureau’s new enforcement and supervision priorities are lacking alignment, according to former CFPB executives.

Cases in which the bureau is seeking to terminate its consent order early or has sought to vacate are tied to Wise US, Toyota Motor Credit Corp., Townstone Financial and Trustmark National Bank.
