Coming off a banner year in the mortgage market, it’s no surprise that employees in the community banking industry managed to increase their base salaries in 2004. According to America’s Community Bankers’ annual compensation survey, thrift employee salaries this year rose an average of 3.9 percent. ACB officials said its findings are on par with the 4 percent average annual increase the survey has found over the past seven years.
