Lenders Fail to Dislodge Score Disclosure Measure from FCRA Bill

The House Financial Services Committee late last week approved legislation that would provide new protections for consumers against identity theft and permanently reauthorize seven key protections in the current Fair Credit Reporting Act. H.R. 2622, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, was approved by a vote of 61-3. The House is expected to vote on it in September.
