Mortgage lenders are seeking higher triggers for determining which mortgage loans should be subject to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act’s new pricing disclosure requirements. Two industry trade groups – America’s Community Bankers and Consumer Bankers Association – have asked the Federal Reserve Board to raise the pending reporting triggers by 2 percent to ensure that all prime loans are excluded from the new rule and that more subprime borrowers are protected.
