Fannie Leads Housing Goals, Freddie Tops in Multifamily
February 4, 2002
Fannie Mae last week announced that it has topped its new statutory affordable housing goals with more than 51.5 percent of its business in 2001 going to low- and moderate-income households. The $195.4 billion business that went to low-mod income households exceeded the 50 percent goal set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development last year for that market. Prior to last year’s adjustment, the goal was at 42 percent.
