Change to Legal Isolation Accounting Rules Would Hurt Mortgage Market, CMSA Says

A proposed change in accounting rules on the isolation of assets in securitizations “is unworkable and would have a serious negative impact on the mortgage market,” the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association told the Financial Accounting Standards Board in a recent comment letter.
