New York City Predatory Lending Measure Alive Despite Mayor’s Veto

New anti-predatory lending rules for the secondary mortgage markets have become a reality in New York, but it’s not yet decided whether the state or New York City will end up with the toughest requirements. While New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg recently vetoed a City Council ordinance that was strongly opposed by the mortgage securities industry, NY Governor George Pataki last month signed into law
