An independent dispute resolution program for resolving loan defects is currently in the works to determine if there was a violation in loan eligibility or not in loans sold to Fannie and Freddie. The Federal Housing Finance Agency said to expect further clarity on the IDR in fiscal year 2016. According to its annual performance plan release last week, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are expected to deliver a report on the results of the IDR pilots.
