Many mortgage lenders are inching toward “high-level services” that take functionality out of legacy systems while putting in interchangeable components. But after they add “data marts” for loan status, operational reporting and financial reporting, many of them face a traffic tie-up because their multi-level legacy systems cannot talk to one another.
