Technology operating budgets in 2003 increased by 24 percent over 2002 and are expected to increase by another 12 percent in 2004, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. In addition, the MBA 2004 Technology Study, released March 15 during MBA 2004 Annual Technology Conference, said technology capital budgets increased by 153 percent in 2003 and are expected to increase by an additional 47 percent in 2004.
