Fannie Mae announced in early July formal requirements to help lenders sell and deliver e-mortgages to the government-sponsored enterprise. According to Robert Engelstad, senior vice president at Fannie Mae, the GSE is ready to purchase e-mortgages that meet the legal, technological and operational requirements necessary to create valid and enforceable e-mortgages.
