Mortgage servicing operations received more attention from regulators, investors and rating agencies in 2003, and things may not be much different this year. “The residential mortgage servicing industry will continue to evolve in 2004,” says Moody’s Investors Service in a recent report. While a lot of the attention has been on so-called predatory servicing practices in the subprime arena, servicers across the mortgage industry were challenged to keep up with historic levels of portfolio
