LendingTree, the online mortgage and consumer loan broker, has terminated its controversial $2.5 million line of credit with Freddie Mac. The Internet company said that because of its strong financial outlook, it has no need for the credit line that it has had with the government-sponsored enterprise since 2001 but has never used.
