Freddie Mac has reportedly rejected an industry request for more time to adjust to new accounting cycles for prepayments on its Gold and ARM PCs. The government-sponsored enterprise announced the new procedures – which will synchronize cash pass-through activity on its securities with those issued by Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mac – early this month without any prior notice.
