Federal Housing Finance Board Chairman John Korsmo appears to be facing an uphill battle to convince the Federal Home Loan Banks to voluntarily register their stock with the Securities and Exchange Commission. And there is growing speculation the Finance Board chief will soon be forced to back away from – if not abandon – efforts to subject the FHLBanks to any SEC supervision.
