Freddie Mac is seeking dismissal of a complaint stemming from a Pennsylvania man’s failure to obtain a mortgage loan, which he blames on the company’s automated underwriting system, Loan Prospector. The plaintiff, Donald Weidman, has asked the federal district court of eastern Pennsylvania to certify a class, claiming that he and other borrowers were injured by Freddie’s failure to provide appropriate notices when their loan applications were denied.
