Ameriquest Mortgage is touting a new best practices slate for its loan servicing shop. But while the California-based company is the first major servicer to spell out its business practices, it likely won’t be the last. In fact, as Inside B&C Lending went to press, several other major subprime servicers, including Option One Mortgage and New Century Financial, were known to be crafting servicing best practices plans.
