National banks are pushing hard for a preemption of the Georgia Fair Lending Act, a review of comment letters submitted to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency shows. But other industry factions appear less enthusiastic about the preemption request made by National City, which wants to make it easier for its subprime subsidiary to do business in the Peach State.
