Household Finance has agreed to pay $9 million to settle allegations that it systematically overcharged California borrowers. “We acknowledge that we made the errors, and with the settlement we have clearly put the issue behind us,” said Household spokesman Craig Streem of the company’s January 4 agreement with the California Department of Corporations.
