Citigroup Suspends Brokers in Associates Clean Up CitiFinancial has suspended more than 3,600 mortgage brokers as part of its efforts to clean up the Associates First Capital unit it purchased last year. According to a report released by the company, the suspensions included 64 percent of the brokers who were on Associates approved "buy list" prior to the acquisition. Some 300 correspondents were also suspended.
