While Accredited Home Lenders has bowed to market pressures and revised its business strategy, it remains focused on producing profits, the nonprime lender’s executives stressed during a Lehman Brothers presentation this week. The firm’s strength lies in its diversity, said Stu Marvin, executive vice president. Accredited originates loans in a balanced measure throughout the U.S., so it does not have as big a worry about being concentrated in geographic areas suffering a housing slump, he said.
