The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has appointed James LaPierre as a regional director. He will oversee bank supervision and consumer protection activities in Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa. His appointment becomes effective on Sept. 4.
