The GSE reform bill pending in the Senate would eliminate the Federal Housing Finance Board and place oversight of the Federal Home Loan Bank System within a larger agency in charge of all housing-related GSEs. Importantly, it would also solve a couple sticky questions that now confront Finance Board officials.
