The number of mortgage industry jobs increased by 7,000 in June 2002, according to the monthly employment report from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. The seasonably adjusted number of jobs for mortgage brokers and mortgage bankers rose to 365,000 in June, from 358,000 in May, the highest number for this industry since February 2002. Mortgage industry employment has increased 10.4 percent since June
