Freddie Mac’s Loan Prospector automated underwriting system has logged its 20th millionth loan in early June, continuing the surge by lenders and brokers using AU systems. According to the company, it took six years, from January 1995 to January 2001, for LP’s cumulative volume to reach 10 million loans, and only another 17 months to hit 20 million loans.
