Senate Banking Committee Chairman Phil Gramm, R-TX, said he and ranking minority leader Paul Sarbanes, D-MD, will meet separately with Fannie's and Freddie's top management to determine whether they are performing their mission of providing liquidity to the housing market and keeping within bounds of their legislative mandates.
