Enforceability of anti-predatory lending ordinances in several Ohio cities is now in doubt after a state appellate court ruled that Ohio ’s anti-predatory lending law preempts a similar measure in Dayton City . In a recent decision in City of Dayton v. State, the appellate court upheld a trial court ruling that the Dayton ordinance conflicts with the state’s 2002 predatory lending law.
