Federal regulators are seeking comments on a proposed rule to improve consumer privacy notices and on a number of interim final rules establishing the effective dates for certain fair credit reporting provisions. On the privacy side, federal securities and financial institutions regulators want the public’s opinion about approaches they think would improve privacy notices without imposing any more burdens on financial institutions.
