The Department of Housing and Urban Development expects to cap the month-long celebration of National Homeownership Month with the long-awaited release of proposed Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act reforms. The Office of Management and the Budget is reviewing the proposed rule and is expected to clear it shortly. HUD Secretary Mel Martinez said he hopes to unveil the proposed RESPA rule this week at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
