On the first anniversary of Illinois’ predatory lending regulations, consumer groups have accused state regulators of not enforcing the rules. Seven Chicago-based advocacy groups said neither the Illinois Office of Banks and Real Estate nor the Department of Financial Institutions had examined any of the largest subprime lenders in the state in the months following approval of the rules.
