Review A federal appeals court’s reversal of class certification in a yield-spread premium case based on HUD’s 2001 policy statement on broker fees could set the stage for a U.S. Supreme Court review of the controversial issue, according to industry lawyers. In a March 21 ruling in Glover v. Standard Federal Bank, the 8th Circuit Court deferred to the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s interpretation of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.
