The Department of Housing and Urban Development is working on new disclosure requirements expected to be proposed in early 2002 under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. Speaking at a luncheon of the Women in Housing and Finance in Washington, DC, John Weicher, federal housing commissioner and assistant HUD secretary, said the rulemaking may include some new forms of disclosures.
