Responding to a recent request from Congressmen Christopher Shays, R-CT, and Edward Markey, D-MA, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight has asserted it has the legal authority and staff resources to beef up the financial disclosures made by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
