The economic uncertainties resulting from the Sept. 11 terrorist attack against the United States have prompted a bipartisan effort to reexamine a proposal to enact financial contract closeout and netting legislation separately from bankruptcy reform legislation. Reps. John LaFalce, D-NY, Paul Kanjorski, D-PA, and Richard Baker, R-LA, this week jointly voiced their concerns to the Federal Reserve Board and the Department of the Treasury
