The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Securities, Insurance, and Government-Sponsored Enterprises plans to review a new accounting standard for derivatives and hedging strategies as part of its oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The review is part of the panel's agenda for the 107th Congress, which Subcommittee Chairman Richard Baker, R-LA, announced during a press briefing last week on Capitol Hill.
