Ginnie Mae, which less than a year ago was taking a competitive beating from the Federal Home Loan Bank System’s Mortgage Partnership Finance Program for new FHA and VA loan business, ended last year in surprisingly strong shape. In fact, the agency finished 2000 in its customary position as the undisputed champion of FHA/VA loan business.
