Speculation is growing that the Senate’s emerging blueprint of bipartisan GSE regulatory reform legislation may not be tough enough to satisfy the Bush administration. But Senate lawmakers, who could unveil a new GSE bill as early as next week, remain hopeful that they can garner White House support for regulatory reform.
