Now that the Bush administration has unveiled a comprehensive plan for overhauling GSE oversight, lawmakers are looking to get the proposal into legislation as quickly as possible. Next week, the full House Financial Services Committee is scheduled to hold its second GSE hearing this month with the goal of preparing to mark up a GSE regulatory bill soon afterward.
