When Mark Brickell was announced as the administration's choice to head the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight back on Feb. 4, it drew such little attention that his nomination languished for months without even being forwarded to the Senate for consideration. But now Brickell’s confirmation is under such intense scrutiny on Capitol Hill that there are serious doubts about whether it will be brought to a committee vote anytime soon.
