The head of the Federal Housing Finance Board has brought Freddie Mac’s recent problems into the debate over whether the Federal Home Loan Banks should register with the Securities and Exchange Commission, citing the need for more GSE disclosures. But FHLBank supporters contend Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac issues are entirely different than those facing the Banks.
