Fannie Mae last month announced a flurry of promotions at the GSE. One of the most noteworthy was the elevation of Senior Vice President Peter Niculescu to the new position of executive vice president of Fannie’s Mortgage Portfolio Business. In the new post, Niculescu will assume responsibility for completely managing the GSE’s $750 billion mortgage portfolio and will report to Chief Financial Officer Timothy Howard, who also carries an EVP title.
