Palm Desert, CA – Fundamental disagreements about the direction the trade group is headed were evident at the National Home Equity Mortgage Association’s annual conference, held earlier this month in Palm Desert, California. Panel discussions and a poll of members at the industry gathering, which drew more than 450 attendees, revealed divisions on issues ranging from NHEMA’s approach to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to its lobbying and legislative strategy. Perhaps most profound was
