One of the lenders that is taking the lead in moving toward paperless mortgage processing is Flagstar Bank. The Troy, MI-based company faces a special set of challenges, however, because so much of its business is done on the wholesale side.“Retail lenders in many ways have it easier on the technology front, because once you train your own employees on the new systems a big part of the effort is over,” said Jeanie Lutterbei, vice president for technology integration at Flagstar.
