Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac continue to move in different directions as far at their lobbying expenditures go, with Freddie moving lower, and Fannie trending higher and regaining the lead. Fannie reported $5.28 million in lobbying expenses for the first six months of 2006, up from the $5.20 million spent in the last six months of 2005, and from the $4.88 million in the first half of 2005.
