At a time when credit unions have been clamoring for more influence with the Federal Housing Finance Board, President Bush has nominated Geoffrey Bacino, a former Clinton administration appointee to the National Credit Union Administration, to be a member of the FHFB’s Board of Directors. Bacino, currently senior vice president for legislative and regulatory affairs at Denver-based Centrix Financial, an auto finance company, would replace outgoing Finance Board member Franz Leichter, whose term has expired.
