As mortgage lenders await word from state regulators about the implementation date of Cook County’s anti-predatory lending pilot program, the state House of Representatives is already considering proposed changes to the program. H.B. 5353, which contains the proposals, would amend the Illinois Residential Real Property Disclosure Act, which created the four-year program to track subprime lending in Cook County and determine whether heavy concentrations of subprime loans indicate discriminatory or predatory lending.
