The Federal Financial Institution Examination Council has approved changes to examination procedures for Fair Credit Reporting Act compliance, including new procedures created by the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003. The FFIEC said that the revised FCRA exam procedures have been reorganized under a new format, where similar requirements are grouped into modules that examiners will use in risk-based FCRA compliance evaluations.
